Cost and is it worth doing? it's certainly not an upgrade, if anything it's a backward step as I'd lose some of the functionality with series links amongst other things that I currently have and if the broadband goes down (which in my case it does regularly) you can't watch recorded programs which I do mostly. Re: 360. Cost and is it worth doing? Just had the email about upgrading for free but after reading this thread I don't think I'll bother. Is it all the content streamed with 360? I have to connect my existing box to the internet via a TP Link plugged in to the mains circuit as the wifi signal from the router is rubbish unless you are a few feet from it (I'm on volt500 and the speed in my livingroom is usually between 15 and 25mbps - if I leave the door open). Even then the wifi connection will randomly drop out and requires the extenders to be restarted. Re: Return Kit not arriving Hi, yes, it was collected at some point yesterday, thanks Re: Return Kit not arriving just a quick update... Had a call from VM today to arrange for collection of my old kit despite being told 3 days ago to put it in recycling. Luckily, I was able to retrieve the kit but today is bin day so it was a close call. The person I spoke to said if I didn't return it I would be charged for it and that no one at VM would tell me to throw the old kit away (there is actually a list somewhere on your site that has what kit has to be returned and my kit wasn't listed). He couldn't tell me what time today he would collect and to leave the kit on my doorstep when I go to work, he also couldn't tell me why he didn't collect on Monday as arranged. Re: Return Kit not arriving Hi, no, I think it's all finally sorted, thanks Re: Return Kit not arriving Hi, thanks for the reply. I don't think there was an issue with the service and I've just thrown all the old kit into my recycling bin. It just would had been good to have been kept informed about the cancelled visit and that the collection team were not coming rather than to have to spend a lot of time trying to get to talk to a real person to find out what is going on (as opposed to the online support which just sends out text messages with links to help pages). Re: Return Kit not arriving Hi, I know this thread is a few months old now but I've just had a very similar problem returning my old kit. My old v6 box stopped working in mid June (just the power supply but VM replaced the whole lot and deactivated it so I lost all my series links). I was sent a replacement V6 box along with a second V6 box to replace an old Tivo box that I had apparently been paying £10 a month for the last few years but never used (I was told at the time that I could use it for free). I asked to return the Tivo box and the 2nd V6 box (which looked like someone had tried to it open it with a screwdriver and arrived with no remote, cables or returns label) . I received a return box for the Tivo unit that was too small to fit it in and no return label for the 2nd V6 box . After an age going round the houses with whatsapp chat etc an appointment was made for VM to collect the kit on July 10th, I waited in all day but no one came to collect (I've been receiving texts every day for weeks saying I hadn't returned the kit). VM Whatsapp chat only got me as far as being sent 3 new returns boxes, I managed to actually speak to a real person this morning who told me to just through the old kit away! Why doesn't VM tell you this straight away instead of warning that if you don't return the kit you will be charged for it? I was also told in mid June that I needed an engineer visit to sort out some fault that I didn't know I had, I waited in for the visit but no one came, when I rang VM I was told that they had cancelled the visit without telling me so I had wasted an afternoon waiting.
