Also sometimes when switching on from standby the box refuses to come on unless rebooted. Re: No catch up on The Day of the Jackal As you would expect we started from episode number one which showed the fault code, however I have carried out a reboot which has resolved the issue so hopefully this may help someone with the same issue. Re: No catch up on The Day of the Jackal I was away when the series started so clicked series link on return which gives me the later episodes recorded as normal with the option to select the others from number one onwards from catch up. Whichever way I try I get the above message so I am now thinking 669 on the message must be some sort of fault code. Re: No catch up on The Day of the Jackal Anyone any ideas? Re: No catch up on The Day of the Jackal This is what I get. Re: No catch up on The Day of the Jackal Thanks for your reply, I have a V6 box, not sure if this makes any difference, later episodes have recorded as requested. No catch up on The Day of the Jackal Hi, I missed the first few episodes on sky showcase but when I try to get the first few episodes on catch up/ on demand I get as far as selecting the first episode then get a temporarily unavailable message, tried a few times now with no luck. Anyone had any success with this? Re: Check your direct debit amounts! Thanks for your response, hopefully this has been dealt with by phone, I won’t really know until my next bill date (22nd) which should be zero plus a credit of £11+ to balance the charging error. Maybe you can check this for me. Check your direct debit amounts! I have had 7 weeks hassle of picture break up problems which are now (hopefully) resolved, part of the solution was a free upgrade to a V6 box, I then noticed on my bank transactions I had been charged a £99 fee. In my case it showed £180+ instead of my normal £80+ so easy to miss. Always check what they are charging you in case they get it wrong. Now resolved this if the phone contact has carried out what they promised. Impossible to speak to the billing section though as only recorded messages processed. Had to go through retentions to speak to a human being. Getting harder to deal with these people. Re: HDMI cable with Ethernet for V6 box I found this on a well known av site so maybe my certified cable will suffice. HDMI " with Ethernet" showed up around 2009 , it carried that data between pins 14, and 19 , along with ARC and was limited to 100mbps , this at a time when every new piece of gear was coming with gigabit (1000 mbps) ports , so it never got implemented on any piece of commercial equipment. However , it now uses the bandwidth that was available for " internet" for ARC and more importantly eARC which allows lossless audio on the return channel. All certified cables bought today should have the " with ethernet" channel , with older cables this was not always the case and the wires between pins 14 and 19 were not a shielded twisted pair on non " with ethernet" cables meaning they couldnt handle the bandwidth
