I have a save of most of my VM Emails (*.pst files) except for late Sunday, Monday and some of Tuesday. I regularly back up my *.pst files, which contain all my Emails going back to the 1990s. OK, two days of EMails lost but I can ask my usual Email correspondents to re-send. But which ISP to rely on? VM is an obvious "no-no", but this could equally happen elsewhere. I have switched to a icloud mail address Re: Loss of Email - F010762348 rem001 wrote: Can anyone recommend an alternative broadband service provider? If you can get full fibre would 💯 ditch VM Re: Loss of Email - F010762348 peterken wrote: It's given me the impetus to start changing all my various online account logins to a gmail address so I don't have to go through all this again. Once that's done I'll be ready to leave Virgin for good. Have been a loyal customer since the start of Virgin Media and ntl before that. Was a customer since the C&W days but switched to BT full fibre last month and I have swapped almost all my emails over to an icloud email address. Re: Loss of Email - F010762348 Shocking customer service from VM with this still being an on going issue Re: Loss of Email - F010762348 Starting to receive a few emails from last night / this morning Re: Loss of Email - F010762348 peterken wrote: After I had just signed up for another VM contract a BT salesman called at the door. He was offering fibre to the premises at 900Mb/s or thereabouts. When I told him I had just started a new VM contract he said thet BT will pay to buy you out of your contract. I also mentioned the inconvenience of losing my existing email account and he said that Virgin will let you keep the old address for £6 a month after you have left (I haven't checked this) which would give you time to sort out transferring to a new email system. The BT price, including TV, was also significantly less than I'm paying now. BT full fibre is brilliant. I used the get out clause to get my contract terminated on the price rise. Had 900mbps fitted a few weeks now and no issues Re: Loss of Email - F010762348 Getting the odd email from last night here and there Re: Loss of Email - F010762348 Yh read all the numerous posts it’s an on going issue with emails which are currently down Re: Loss of Email - F010762348 Have you not seen the numerous other posts that there is an on going issue with emails Re: Loss of Email - F010762348 cant you see all the other posts that email service is currently down
