Perhaps because you already have My VM accounts for each of the mailboxes? Of the 10 mailboxes I have set up, only three had My VM accounts, maybe for these accounts I need to check which credentials I’m going using for webmail. The other 7 accounts are not linked to a My VM and if I create a VMO2 login it wants to take over the primary account! If there is any documentation to help with any of the above please point me towards it, this is more beneficial rather than saying I’m wrong! The shambles that is the new VMO2 login if you have multiple VM email accounts The implementation of VMO2 usernames does not seem to be well thought through, and for the benefit of other forum users, I thought it would be useful to share what I think the problems are: Previously you could have multiple (up-to 10) Virginmedia / Blueyonder etc email addresses (each with 3 aliases), all under the same account. They could all live semi-independently, under your main account Now one of your accounts needs to be a VMO2 account, and only one email address can be linked to it. Only the email address linked to that VMO2 account can access VirginMedia webmail This means none of your other (up to 9) accounts can access VirginMedia webmail None of those other accounts are able to do a password reset, unless they take over the VMO2 account There is a substantial amount of technical support documentation on virginmedia.com which is now completely inaccurate for anyone with multiple VM email accounts. There may be other issues I've not yet identified. Can any VM reps on the forum please advise what visibility this has to your service / email product owner, and what action is being taken to address these issues for accounts which have multiple VM email accounts? Re: Missing emails (again) - blueyonder.co.uk address Quite frustrating that there has been no progress on this matter, yet a significant number of emails that I am sent are still not being accepted/delivered by Virgin Media. I've only had one significantly delayed email in this time: of three emails sent in a short time relating to gift card purchases, only one (the second of the three) was delivered at my mail account with VM/BY, and this email was delayed by c. 70 hours. This is the delayed part of the header: Received: from smtp03.topdns.com ([85.159.232.242]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 256/256 bits) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx4-prd-nl1-vmo.edge.unified.services with ESMTPS id 2ULXsj1J58lBW2ULssa7ul; Thu, 02 May 2024 13:11:49 +0200 It's a bit of a lottery which emails will and will not be delivered to my mail account with VM/BY, yet VM seem uninterested in trying to get this resolved. Why would this be? Re: Missing emails (again) - blueyonder.co.uk address Thanks @Molly_T - have replied to your PM and will explain fully there, but just to correct a couple of things here publicly, in case it helps others, I have my own domain name and am not running on my own server. Having used my own domain name for 20+ years, 99.6% of emails go through the domain name, with only a couple of places I used the blueyonder.co.uk email address directly. I have no way of knowing if an email sent directly to my blueyonder.co.uk address is not delivered because I don't give out that address, but what I do know is there have been recent emails to my domain name which have come from a blueyonder.co.uk address and sent via the VM SMTP server that have subsequently not been delivered into VM. Re: Missing emails (again) - blueyonder.co.uk address Better @David_Bn but not fixed...... At a rough estimate, it's only 25% of emails that VM are now not delivering...! Needs mail tech to investigate, how can that be arranged? Re: Missing emails (again) - blueyonder.co.uk address @Joseph_B, @David_Bn, @John_GS, @Martin_N - for the first time in about a month I have received the daily digest email from Finextra into my BY account! Also, doing a test with Go.compare, I have received three of 4 emails at BY - better, but not perfect like the temporary account which received 100% of them. I reiterate that "What do I need to do / how can I get evidence across to the mail team to demonstrate this is an issue.....?" I'm unsure if @AzureMicro is also having similar problems, or a bot simplifying the problem having run through ChatGPT etc! Re: Missing emails (again) - blueyonder.co.uk address @Joseph_B - interesting! No difference. Just tonight I am doing insurance quotes. Go Compare - only 2 of the quotes delivered to the BY address, 5 emails (matching the five quotes I generated) delivered to the 3rd party / temporary forwarding address. There is something up at VM. How many MX do you have, could something be up where one of them is misbehaving and not bouncing, but not delivering either? What do I need to do / how can I get evidence across to the mail team to demonstrate this is an issue.....? Re: Missing emails (again) - blueyonder.co.uk address @Tom_W1 intrigued to understand why you think how that will help….? Re: Missing emails (again) - blueyonder.co.uk address Thanks @Martin_N Sorry, I don't follow. The emails are sent to my domain name. Are you suggesting I change the email address on a few of the different places through to my BY address, so they get sent there directly? How would I then know if they are sent but not delivered? This would only work where there are regular emails i.e. the daily email digests Mon to Fri for Finextra. I don't use the direct Blueyonder address.... Today is a particularly bad day for emails on the old Blueyonder..... The temporary forwarding goes to a Gmail address (a Google Workspace managed account that I have). So far today: my Gmail spam box has received 8 emails in it, of these 7 were also delivered to my Blueyonder address, and of those seven, 3 were delivered to spam (DMARC=quarantine or Precedence: junk) my Gmail inbox has received 16 emails in it, of these 5 were also delivered to my Blueyonder address. What that means is Virgin Media / Blueyonder has therefore not delivered 50% of the emails I was sent today. Not great. Given I have not changed anything, that Internet.bs are still forwarding mails (no changes there), the problem is pointing to a VM issue. I learned something new today, that VM no longer offer mail accounts. The accounts they still offer should still be reliable, should they not? Re: Missing emails (again) - blueyonder.co.uk address June 2021 was the last time I was aware of significant mail non-delivery issues. This was resolved with my input. Aug/Sep 2015, Aug 2016 and Jan 2020 had mail delivery/delay issues. The issue this time is definitely VM server side!
