ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: 2.4g wifi keeps dropping off Apparently, that solution presents it's own problems, from reading some other posts on here, and from replies to posters who are then having problems with their hub/router combination. Re: 2.4g wifi keeps dropping off And then have to set the whole thing up from scratch again. Rename the ssid, change the password, set up all the various settings to get system back to what it was? (hopefully!!) Iv'e got better things to do than waste 30-40 minutes doing that, only to find that the problem's still there because of VM's crappy hub. 2.4g wifi keeps dropping off As per title. Have a hub5, and has been working OK up until a few weeks ago, when the 2.4g signal dissapeared. 5g was still connected, but 2.4g was showing as connected, even though the 2 pc's and 2 mobiles were showing 'no internet' and were unable to locate the signal, even though the ssid was a prefered one. 2 mobiles and a pc on 5G were all working and had full signal. According to the hub 5, all the 2.4g devices were connected, even though they were not. Tried to connect the 2.4g manually, but all refused to find the SSID. Ended up doing a reset on the router, (pull plug for 5 mins) then when the router restarted, after a few minutes, all was working OK again on both 2.4g & 5g. Strangely, it's happened again twice over the last 2 weeks, exactly the same. Wired not affected, but the 2.4g wifi again 'went missing' even though the hub said it was connected OK. yet again, 4devices on 2.4g lost their connection, yet hub insisted they were connected! Each time, a reset had to be done to get the signal back. Once reset, all works again for a while. Not sure if hub is on the way out, as strange that 4 devices should all lose signal at the same time, yet hub says it's working correctly. Re: Congrats VM on your award! Well, who'd have thought it. Couldn't have gone to a more deserving company. To win 3 times on the trop, really speaks volumes for their 'customer service' (or lack of) Really hard to find any other company with such disregard for their customers, and authority as well. Anyone looking to take their 'shoddy' award has their work cut out, that's for sure, but certain VM will up their game to take a 4th one next year. Re: Problems logging into account/email? Hi Sabrina_B, Just tried to reply to your message, with the requested info, but reply it won't send?? Tried twice, but refuses to send? Have tried again after resetting, but still no luck?? Re: Problems logging into account/email? So, appears there are literally hundreds of posters having endless trouble with the 'new' sign in, meaning they are unable to access their accounts or email. Replies are few and far between, and from Mods?? Nothing except cut and paste replies and silence. 'Customer service' is a dirty word to VM. Just dump an untested upgrade on them, no warning, no help, nothing. Not even any sort of communication from VM. Customers just left to sort it out or go without. VM have really excelled themselves this time. I cannot access my account or my email. I have had a tect from NHS regarding an appointment email sent to me for an upcoming operation. I cannot access it, as the new 'sign in' requires me to have another email address, and a mobile number, then sends me a code, which never arrives!! Thanks VM, looking to dump you as soon as possible, and making an official complaint. Of course, VM wil still take their payment this month, despite wrecking the system for many 'customers' and not even haviong the decency to inform them of whats happening, and also, 'dumpin' untested rubbish on us. Contract up soon, you can take a running jump. Re: Problems logging into account/email? Disgusting attitude from a disgusting company. Seem to do nothing but take your money, increase prices, and reduce services. Refuse to even admit there is a problem, leave alone attempt to correct it. Heaven knows how many 'customers' are unable to access their accounts or email, yet VM REFUSE TO EVEN SAY ANYTHING. Have tried to go through the 'new' registration system, but it repeatedly dumps me back at the register/log in page despite following ALL the instructions. Unable to get into my email to access hospital appointments that have been sent to me, so thanks for nothing VM!! Despicable company.. No more, no less. No morals, no decency. All they are interested in is getting their monthly payments, and to hell with 'customer service' Liars in that they repeatedly say 'it's fixed' on this site when they know damn well it's not. Re: Problems logging into account/email? Posted 2 replies to this post BOTH HAVE NOW DISSAPEARED What is going on here VM?? Deleting posts and not even the decency to inform the poster now!! Re: Problems logging into account/email? So, Daniel_Et, 24 hours later, and. NOTHING. No help, No interest, from VM. Multiple posters having the same trouble, yet VM stay SILENT. Completely unacceptable. Can't access anything on my account, or my emails. It's not a 'small number' Daniel, check out the multiple posters on here in the last few hours, and growing by the minute!! VM showing just hao LITTLE respect they have for PAYING customers, whose money actually pays their wages. Total ineptitude, total disregard for people who are struggling to access their VM accounts yet are IGNORED. Strangely, I can access the account on my laptop, tablet anf mobile, which are still using the old login, but desktop repeatedly refuses to let me log in, even if using the 'new' login page and adding another email address and a phone number, it STILL wont let me in. POINTLESS. VM should immediately issue some sort of statement saying what is wrong, and how they are fixing it, and a timescale. PRONTO. VM, are basically Gutless, and useless, and couldn't care less, about 'SERVICE' so long as they get their monthly payments. Tinpot isn't the word. Something unprintable IS though. Not even the decency to admit a problem and attempt to FIX IT!! Re: Problems logging into account/email? Daniel_Et, It's not 'some apps' its actually the page for the whole website. Strange it's working fine on my laptop, tablet, and now my mobile, in it's original format, yet not on my desktop PC. Understand that VM are looking to change the account setup, BUT to just 'dump' this on customers?? No advance information, or even any notice, just 'suddenly lock customers out of the whole site' isn't 'customer service' by any means No access to the homepage, or account or even e-mail on my desktop, unless I fill in the 'new' form, which, according to other posters DOESN'T WORK EITHER.. As mentioned, sadly, VM appear to care so little about 'customer service' it just 'does what it wants' without even considering the consequences. Knowing VM's previous track record regarding 'sorting out problems' I won't be holding my breath for a 'quick fix'.
