Online gaming is pointless and hoping this is temporary as my connection has seemed fairly stable recently. Last time my graph was like this it tooks months to sort and not so much as a refund offered. Router test indicates no issues but no surprises there https://www.thinkbroadband.com/broadband/monitoring/quality/share/9a217136cc283460f8909e6dc33925b9a3061e2f-14-11-2024 SolvedRe: Really bad lag past 2 weeks https://www.thinkbroadband.com/broadband/monitoring/quality/share/8f1f3e3390fe613a08302ff06306cd71eeca502d I’ve shown countless times proof I’ve had ongoing issues with my internet for the last 2-3 months. This graphs shows spikes when I’m asleep not using the internet. Although my internet worked for general phone connectivity it’s been useless for gaming, which is why I got the 1gb package. Having complained on here and shown proof of signal issues, virgin refused to acknowledge a fault or even offer compensations. The issue was intermittent but worse during peaks hours, so suspect this was at virgin’s end. I’m at the end of my contact paying £82 just for internet. I was offered the same package for £60…I asked for a slower speed package and was informed the £60 1gb package is cheaper then all the lower speed packages (how that works I don’t know) obviously I refused this and put 30 days notice to cancel. Since then I’ve been hounded with calls (which I refuse to answer) when checking my broadband via the app it’s says my internet is temporally disconnected (even though it’s still on) and says I’m restricted due to an overdue bill (which was paid on time). while a lot of people will be happy with there service, be warned that it can months to sort out issues, this wasn’t the first time I had issues but will be the last. Re: Really bad lag past 2 weeks Sam knows test…not sure if the latency is high or not? Re: Really bad lag past 2 weeks https://www.thinkbroadband.com/broadband/monitoring/quality/share/8f1f3e3390fe613a08302ff06306cd71eeca502d Re: Really bad lag past 2 weeks 8f1f3e3390fe613a08302ff06306cd71eeca502d can someone with experience please let me know if this graph looks ok. I use my internet normally 3pm to 8pm weekdays. Online gaming has been hit or miss recently. Seems much better after midnight (when I play that late on a weekend) Router stats are meant to be ok so I’m thinking an engineer visits wouldn’t be able to sort this out. Am I wasting my time and money with virgin? Worthing noting that on quite a few occasions now. When doing checks on the app to check my connection it says I have a signal issue and to come back after 24 hours. It then sorts itself after a few hours. This has happened about 4 times this past 2 months Re: Really bad lag past 2 weeks https://www.thinkbroadband.com/broadband/monitoring/quality/share/a837e4894fd155a83c060209662a9dc8b2eb8c00-15-05-2024 its gone bad again. Graph is horrendous Re: Really bad lag past 2 weeks It’s actually been ok since then Re: Really bad lag past 2 weeks Still an issue. I’ve not been in the home for the past 2 days. Nothing connected to the internet and graph isn’t perfect. Tried playing tonight…run a test on the router and indicates a signal issue the area. Games been unplayable or for 4 out of 6 weeks now. Re: Really bad lag past 2 weeks I’m not sure to be honest. I’ve got a few UK friends who report the same issue so maybe it’s the game. It just feels like it was a few weeks ago when I had a fault in the area. I’m going to try install another game and report back later. Can you have a look at my router stats please. Ive reset router via pinhole. Factory reset my PlayStation too.
