When clicking on the What's New menu item, a box appears now with minimal info along the lines of - this update contains bug fixes, stability and security improvements - or words to that effect. Everything else appears the same. Re: Software Update Version 5.18 There appears to be some minor changes since I received the 5.18 software update a few weeks ago. The QR code that appeared on the home screen has gone and the box no longer starts on the home screen, rather on the last channel watched. This is an improvement. I was getting irritated by the extra clicks involved in getting from the home screen to the channel I wanted to watch. This was usually the last channel viewed. The QR link would have mainly been useful to anyone unfamiliar with the 360 interface. Software Update Version 5.18 It looks like version 5.17 has been skipped this time. With the new 5.18 update, the box starts up on the home screen rather than the last channel watched. There is a QR code there that when scanned links to a page about the changes that have been made, although this is not very informative. If this was a proper changelog it would be much better, but it's a step in the right direction, I guess. Maybe there are more changes in this update, but I have yet to find any. Software Update 5.16 It's nothing to get excited about, but software update 5.16 is beginning to roll out. There were a couple of outages here in London yesterday so I could not explore further and the 'What's New' popup is as uninformative as ever. Re: Software update - version 5.15 Hi Molly_T. Please see the title of this thread. Unless I am wildly adrift, this section is for TV360. Re: Software update - version 5.15 As asim18 states, replace the uninformative 'bugs squashed' text with a changelog. Re: Software update - version 5.15 Yep, that's it. Unhelpful as ever. Software update - version 5.15 The first round of 'bug squashing' for 2025 is beginning its roll-out. Re: 4OD / Channel 4 App 4100-RENDER-FAILED No PM has arrived so far. Re: 4OD / Channel 4 App 4100-RENDER-FAILED Hi Matthew. This was happening at some point every time I attempted to watch a Channel 4 show. Sometimes the picture froze for ten seconds or so, but more often I received the 'this is embarrassing' screen. I can enjoy Netflix, Prime, Apple and Disney in 4K with no problems at all. iPlayer and ITVX seem models of stability by comparison. I no longer try and watch anything on the Channel 4 app.
