ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Email display - sent items Thank you for your response. Its what I have concluded after trying every avenue. The reason perhaps is that since virgin are trying to phase out their email system they are making it increasingly unworkable. Re: Email display - sent items We are just going round in circles. I am not an IT expert but a customer who has a simple problem and hoped to get a solution from virgin. However the virgin tactic seems to try and get the individuals to answer virgin's own failures for themselves or to rely on other customer expertise to answer for them. Stating the problem once again: when I send an email from the web mail the message is delivered ok but the listing on the website column shows my name rather than the person to whom the mail is being sent. Using outlook for sending mail gets the correct listing ie the recipient's name not mine is in the sent column. In outlook one can change the displayed columns but I can't find any way of doing this in the web mail display. Surely this is possible? Can virgin or someone tell me how to do this without the need for screenshots etc? It seems to me that the synching properties between outlook and virgin mail may be the cause of the problem but I am not an expert- over to you Virgin. Re: Email display - sent items Yes. But how do you change them? Re: Email display - sent items thank you for your interest, however the problem is not solved. Following the advice I have looked at some of my sent emails. Checking the source (right click email) provides information to say that sender is myself and recipient is the desired person (the person to whom the email was sent) All correct as the email was correctly delivered but the listing justs shows the sender (myself) not the recipient. here is source commentory From: [removed] To: "'Onboarding'" <onboarding@novaprimedevelopments.com> References: <1ED35786-D783-4955-8235-A5D389BAA37D@novaprimedevelopments.com> <002901db4266$74cc11f0$5e6435d0$@blueyonder.co.uk> <9BAF6A80-2C18-482A-BE35-8EB5BBEE3BBC@novaprimedevelopments.com> In-Reply-To: <9BAF6A80-2C18-482A-BE35-8EB5BBEE3BBC@novaprimedevelopments.com> Subject: RE: Your Nova Prime Application Date: Thu, 5 Dec 2024 08:31:17 -0000 Message-ID: <00a601db46f0$0f0edfd0$2d2c9f70$@blueyonder.co.uk> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="----=_NextPart_000_00A7_01DB46F0.0F139AC0" X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook 16.0 Thread-Index: AQCrEHuoHb7NxTW2CZXNNQdfYEK1JAGyCjAmAiaNE48CSWEr2g== X-OlkEid: 00000000E013EE373F713448A0B53A6682EE15D80700C3B68E10F77511CEB4CD00AA00BBB6E600000000000E00005FCBD523FEAF2D439C9A199939CF37830000000045CB00007880562C64A22046922D9D53B9C962AA Surely this is a simple problem to solve? MOD EDIT: Personal information removed Re: Email display - sent items There is nothing wrong with the email. (I have checked using googemail) Its just that when I go to the sent folder in the virgin web mail after sending an email, instead of showing the desired recipient, it shows the sender ie myself Simon Duvivier. In outlook one can change the fields displayed ie from, to, importance, date etc.but I don't know how to change the fields in the web mail which I use for my phone. However the problem is not just on the phone (android) it occurs on the web mail when viewed on my desktop and laptop.( as stated I normally use outlook on the desktop which displays correctly when viewing emails) Re: Email display - sent items This is not happening in outlook, just in the web mail. However I use web mail for my phone so its a nuisance. Its easy to change the displayed columns in outlook but I can't see how to do it on the virgin web display. Suggestions? Email display - sent items When I send an email (blueyonder) my name is displayed instead of the recipient. The inbox however works ok. How can I fix this? email sender When I send an email, the email listing does not show the recipient but my own email address. How can I correct this? (incoming emails show the sender name) Re: Synching folders between devices working only for some mailboxes My pc and laptop both use outlook as the email client. My samsung phone uses webmail. When I send email from any of the devices and copy my own address, a copy always appears in the others in box. If I just send an email from one of the devices it does not appear in the sent item folder of the others.. What now? I am nervous about deleting email addresses as this might result in being unable to send or receive emails at all. Re: Synching folders between devices working only for some mailboxes The problems are not resolved. On my pc I have a sent folder and a sent items folder. When I send from the pc a copy of the email correctly appears in the sent folder. However **bleep** does not appear on my laptop which has a sent items folder and a sent folder. When I send from the laptop a copy appears in the sent items folder on the laptop but does not appear on my pc. I have checked that when I send an email from either device it does send correctly only copies do not appear on the other devices as described above. I won't go into the android phone setup which uses webmail but it has similar problems. All the folders are imap. Any suggestions? .
