Surely they should know a 3rd party app password is required rather than asking me to continually request a new password! After over an hour they passed me onto the Gadget Rescue Team who were even worse as his line was so crackly I could not hear him nor him me - kept blaming his headset. After 30 mins of not being able to communicate with him I said I give up and he referred me on for a supervisor to call me. She did and again said change my password etc. Another 20 mins of doing all this she wanted to log onto my device which I declined, so she said she would refer me to another company and if they managed to solve it I would be charged, but did not know how much, it would depend on what they did. Thankfully I said no thanks and closed the call. Googled the problem to find I needed the app password and all is now well - after nearly 4 hours of trying. Come on VM tell your "support" team how easy this issue is to solve! Re: Blueyonder email to gmail goes to spam The only reply from one was "we have asked you to be patient" well how long does that mean, over 4 weeks now since issue first raised, still not fixed and absolutely no evidence they are trying. If we ask for compensation for lack of service they will give an excuse that it is not their issue - well we are VM customers therefore they should be fixing it or advocating on our behalf....... Re: Blueyonder email to gmail goes to spam This is def not resolved - I test it out with my own Gmail account and my blueyonder emails go to spam - I put a filter on to stop them and remove the filter to test. Is it ever going to be sorted or just forgotten about and we all move away from BY emails? Re: Blueyonder email to gmail goes to spam As Blueyonder customers we can only ask VM to look into it for us - can they not contact/work with Gmail? The workaround once anyone knows is to add a filter to your gmail account to not send any emails containing blueyonder to spam - but people have to know about the issue to do this. I test it out daily with/without the filter applied as I did last time until it gets sorted. Now been going on for nearly 2 weeks this time around, same happened in February and it took weeks to sort out. So many Blueyonder customers just won't realise their emails are not reaching their Gmail recipients as the message does not bounce back just goes into the recipients spam folder and many people don't check that regularly. Re: Blueyonder email to gmail goes to spam Yep same happening for me again - so annoying as lots of recipients now use gmail and not receiving my blueyonder emails as they sit in their spam folder. It took weeks to sort out earlier this year - please VM/Gmail take this seriously and sort it out speedily and for good.
