Again Virgin Media is blocking emails from groups.io : As you can see from the above error reports Virgin Media say they are blocking these groups.io emails due to the hourly rate being exceeded. I have spent hours trying to explain this problem to Virgin Media telephone support. They just pass me from person to person but nobody understands what I am talking about. They send test emails which I receive ok so as far as they are concerned the email service is working. How do we persuade Virgin Media to fix this problem with emails from groups.io being blocked by Virgin Media? Re: Not receiving emails from groups.io Today I am receiving groups.io emails ok again. I suspect that the problem happens whenever there are a large number of emails from groups.io in a short period of time?? But this problem keeps recurring. Surely it should not be happening at all. Why is it taking so long for Virgin Media to recognise there is a problem and fix it permanently? Re: Not receiving emails from groups.io The problem with groups.io is still continuing here. Some emails from groups.io are being blocked by Virgin Media. They do not get into my inbox or even my spam folder. On grous.io web site they report that emails are trying to be sent but are being blocked by Virgin Media. The error message refers to the "Hourly rate limit being exceeded" See below: Regards Ian Re: Not receiving emails from groups.io The problem where emails failed to be delivered ti groups.io has only happened to me three times. I still have a copy of one mail delivery email. I have deleted the others. For the last couple of days I have not sent any emails to groups.io so I have no further information for you. I did however find another thread in this community titled “no reverse DNS” by someone with a bluyonder email address also having similar problems sending emails to groups.io. There is a lot of information in that thread which might help you to get this problem fixed. Re: Not receiving emails from groups.io The problem with not receiving groups.io messages seems to be solved but I have noticed an occasional problem when sending messages to groups.io. On a couple of occasions when I have replied to a message on a groups.io I have received back from postmaster@virginmedia.com an email to say my reply could not be delivered. The message from postmaster@virginmedia.com tonight said: 500 Invalid request, no reverse DNS for 84.116.50.37 Re: Not receiving emails from groups.io Carley_S thanks for your intervention. Today I have received a flurry of emails from groups.io, 8 emails so far. Looks like the problem may have been fixed. Fingers crossed. Re: Not receiving emails from groups.io No Virgin Media customer on this community site is able to offer a solution to this well documented problem. It rquires Virgin Media themselves to fix the problem. We have been suffering with lack of posts from groups.io for about a week now. Since raising a ticket with Virgin Media I have not been contacted. Please Virgin Media sort this out. Re: Not receiving emails from groups.io Looking on groups.io web site under Subscription/Email delivery history/Most recent unsuccessful attempts I see something similar: mxin10.virginmedia.com: 421 4.1.1 MXIN503 Hourly ratelimit for your IP exceeded ;id=kNdrqZLlwbxjHkNdsqi75R;sid=kNdrqZLlwbxjH;mta=mx12-prd-nl1-vmo;d=20230924;t=135116[CET];ipsrc=66.175.222.12; I have been on 150 for over 1 hour and Virgin Media say they have raised a ticket for their technical department on this problem and will respond within 5 working days. They have my mobile phone number if they require more information from me. Re: Not receiving emails from groups.io Still no emails received from any of my groups.io groups. This is very inconvenient for me. Hope Virgin Media fix the problem soon. Re: Not receiving emails from groups.io Not received any emails at all from any of my groups.io today. I am using the groups.io web interface in the mean time. Reported the problem to Virgin Media customer telephone support but the problem remains. Hope this can be fixed?
