I have to wait to hear from BT that the number is being ported which could take 21 days.... Does that sound right? Re: BT landline port to VM? The chat agent was unable to port BT number due to "an issue at his end". He raised a complaint and said that we would get a phonecall in 24 hours but we have heard nothing more. Our VM phone still plugs into wall socket. We were assured that this would continue so we would be able to just plug the landline phone into the VM socket. Please could we have an update on the complaint. I am happy to supply details but not over open forum. Thanks. Re: BT landline port to VM? I have online chatted with an agent today. Unfortunately due to technical issue his end, he wasn't able to confirm being able to port our number over so he has referred it to his manager and we should get a call from complaints team about it. Can we have the ported number as fully ex-directory? Re: BT landline port to VM? Virgin asked if I wanted them to port the number? Also can one still have more than 1 handset or do they all have to be plugged into the router individually? We were planning to use a baseunit and 2 handsets but not sure how that would work if they all have to be plugged into router as only 2 TEL sockets on it. BT landline port to VM? I have 2 landlines at present. I would like to port my BT number over to replace my VM landline number....is this possible?
