On the 11th there was 3. On the 10th there was 3. On the 9th was the first one. None of the friends or family ring the landline - they always call me or my wife on the mobiles. Someone has got hold of our landline and now we are getting spammed. Can I unplug the landline or will that affect the package deal I am on? Re: Why does YouTube buffer/stutter on my 1Gb downlaod connection? I don't know where to get the stats from - all I see is the graph. Re: Why does YouTube buffer/stutter on my 1Gb downlaod connection? Dec 31st & Jan 1st (only 2 with data showing) Re: Why does YouTube buffer/stutter on my 1Gb downlaod connection? I've done that Matthew _ML, what do I do next? Re: Why does YouTube buffer/stutter on my 1Gb downlaod connection? @Sabrina_B Would replacing the Hub4 with a Hub5 help? Paul. Re: Why does YouTube buffer/stutter on my 1Gb downlaod connection? No, though I donn't understand why another cable would stop buffereing - all my other internet based applications and games work flawlwssly. It's only YT. Re: Why does YouTube buffer/stutter on my 1Gb downlaod connection? PC is running on hard wired ethernet cable (either a Cat5 or Cat6, not sure which) from your Hub 4 router, the computer is an Intel Core I7 4790 @ $.00Ghz, 16Gb DDR3 RAM, Monitor is the LG ULTRAGEAR (2560x1440@144Hz) and a 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 (EVGA) graphics card. Paul. Re: Why does YouTube buffer/stutter on my 1Gb downlaod connection? I have Brave browser which blocks ads, I have Chrome with an ad blocker, and I have Firefox which allows YT ads. Buffering occurs on all 3. Even does it on my own YouTube channel with my own personal drone videos (as the content creator). Why does YouTube buffer/stutter on my 1Gb downlaod connection? So my download speed (package) is around 912Mbps - (Virgins fastest speed) but when watching YT videos, after a few seconds, the video often pauses (spinning icon) for anything between 5 and 30 seconds (apprpox) before playing again. I would have thought with the speeds I'm getting, this shouldn't be an issue. I watch streams in 2k (and 4k where possible even though my monitor's native resolution is 2K). It doesn't matter which browser I use. On top of that, if I watch the same video(s) at home on my S23 Ultra mobile phone (in 4k) I don't have the same issue. The video plays fine, no buffering. Wifi on phone does better than my hardwired router manages on my PC! So what is the fix? What's the fix for this?
