Thank you for the prompt reply, gonna pull the on reigns now, Client62 post just struck a chord so to save space I'll reply to you both. As said Client62 struck a chord. Yes I DO have an account at RS BUT not used that number for a very long time, infact so long ago it escaped me, since the number changed I always used the 03457 number and I DID phone them - I've been FOXED...! I just got to appologise to Virgin Media and to the both of you - the lastigits never twigged, didn't even notice. Matter closed - my fault. Dave Billed for calls I did not make all to the same number...! I want out of Virgin media...! On the 18 October I was billed for calls that I dod not make nor are they listed on my phone-: Friday 18 Oct. 12.17 Nat Geo. 08457201201 Duration 10.25 Friday 18 Oct. 12.35 Nat Geo. 08457201201 Duration 5.11 Friday 18 Oct. 12.42 Nat Geo. 08457201201 Duration 6.42 Friday 18 Oct. 12.50 Nat Geo. 08457201201 Duration 5.17 Fridary 18 Oct. 13.06 Nat Geo. 08457201201 Duration 8.04 These calls are not listed on the caller display!!!!!! I phoned and was told to hold on leaving me holding a blank phone, after several minutesI called again and got someone speaking poor English..... and was told I had to pay the bill - not very pleased now and looking to close my account.. Checking 'Who Called me' showed it was a scam number, anyone had this problem - LOOK at the timing and duration, sure doesn't look right to me. Anyone else had this problem? And what can I do about it? Dave SolvedEmail closure I just had one this minute from 'toolbox@fuse.net' , here's what I got-: 'Good day, Our record indicates that you recently made a request to close your Virgin Media email, This process was initiated by our administrator. Regards Lutz Schüler' Dave Re: Missed phone call problem. @nodrogd Thanks for that info.... I did have a thought they changed the numbers, I read somewhere they could monitor that 'fake' number. Dave Re: Missed phone call problem. Hi Steven_L, thanks for the input. Yes certainly have put a block on that number, trouble is if that number is spoofed someway they now know my number is active.... could sell it and make a few quid, guess I'll find out someway when the phone runs out of memory, got a few blocked in there, it was 50/50 I blocked it or rang back I'll certainly take a peep at the link you provided thanks for that. Many thanks, Dave Missed phone call problem. Hi, I'm with Virgin Media, missed a phone call on our landline, from an area we know so well..... so obviously I rang back - number not obtainable. Your gonna tell me it's a scammer and a spooffed number. I did a check with 'Who called me' and sure enough one or two people have had the same number to call back..... normally I would have ignored or blocked the number BUT for thinking I may know the person..... I rang back, yeah call me a fool - I agree. It was only the other day I had a unknown phone call from a different area, I blocked after looking it up. Just wondered what your thought was on this escaspade. Dave Re: Totally sick of phone calls from Virgin Media - TOTALLY! Thank you all who replied....KT88 eh? I can think of much bigger bottles and 'up' the anode voltage. Yes, I never give details or discuss anything with these 'clowns', I usually let them gabble on until they stop not saying a word, then ring off n' block.... with the racket in the background you don't know what you can learn. I do find it mighty odd I had the same kinda racket when phoning VM number and selecting the options phoning more than once..... and waiting lightyears to get through - that IS annoying and speaks volumes for a company of ANY kind. Just don't auto renew my account! Re: Totally sick of phone calls from Virgin Media - TOTALLY! I just got to thank you for that..... leaving me puzzled. I have heard exact same kind of background racket when I've been phoning Virgin Media when complaining about either broadband or telephone problems... selecting phone options comes to mind when phoning Virgins contact number and selecting options, so much so I ended up writing a complaint to head office because the English was barely recognisable 'I' will repeat this was when calling Virgins contact number and selectting options. Could it be that Virgin Media is being hacked or targetted? As said the background noise is/was very similar. Re: Totally sick of phone calls from Virgin Media - TOTALLY! Thank you John The calls happened three or four times, they all were relating to internet speed informing they may be slower than usual anfd some was asking if I noticed they were slower than usual, the numbers I gave are now blocked on my phone and shown as blocked'. Any unusal or unrecognised phone numbers I now check up on, they were ALL clearly from a call center I could hear other Indian voices handling other calls..... I have heard the same racket when phoning Virgin Media help line. If a company can't or dare not show their number then that company is worthless this INCLUDES Virgin Media! This IS EXACTLY the same when you make complaint's to them now isn't it.... plus you end up on hold for hours on end - all done deliberately in my book and I don't need to say why. David Totally sick of phone calls from Virgin Media - TOTALLY! I have posted here because it is my Home Phone. I am totally sick of Virgin Media call center wringing about my internet speed STOP IT NOW! So muchg so I WILL REFUSE to speak to ANY Indian callcenter... The numbers WILL get BLOCKED half the time you can unbderstand what is being said and DO NOT KNOW if they ARE Virgin Media since the numbvers that phoned are UNKNOWN. 1st call removed a Swindon code number and then removed I am SURE you get the message UNRECOGNISED numbers WILL BE BLOCKED. Sooner my contract ends the better! David. [MOD EDIT: Numbers removed]
