V6 box recently started misbehaving - random freezes of Live TV, unresponsive to rewind/forward on Live TV, and then sometimes random reboots. Very slow to start up again after reboot.
Last night attempting to watch recordings - error C501
This morning 2 to 3 live TV freezes and eventually it rebooted itself again.

That sounds very much like a failing hard drive (the inability to pause/rewind live TV) and/or a failing box outright (the reboots).
Call it in to TV faults, or wait here a few days, and you should get a tech visit with a view to replacing your V6.

Well we had a tech visit last Friday, but he said there was an issue with signal levels that needed sorted outside, he would get that done then call back/come back (as he left a temporary cable attached where it comes into the house - he also said that we had very ancient incoming splitters etc that needed tidied up or replaced). We saw some activity in the street last week, but we've heard nothing else, and no return visit or call.
The v6 box is still randomly rebooting, so the issue is not fixed.
