Cable removal

Hi. Can anyone tell me if it is OK to cut/eliminate cable going from box in living room to the bedrooms? There is one cable coming from outside box to the living room box then 2 cables going back out and up into the bedrooms. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Aaron

I'd hesitate to cut cables if I expected the VM service to keep operating,
cutting a cable with snips could result in short and total loss of service.

Why not open the box and disconnect the cable that appear surplus to your requirements,
if the VM keeps working you can decide what to do next,
if the VM service fails you can reconnect the cable sharpish.

No, they should not be cut, it can cause noise ingress to everyone on your street cabinet. What should be done is they should be removed from the splitter in the omnibox and the points terminated with a special cap or the splitter removed and replaced with a F to F connector. If this later action is taken then it would affect your signal balance and may need adjustment to the tap in the street cabinet.
