Hi
How do i go about apply to update my V6 box to 360 firmware? I see instructions on how to do it but i need to obtain the new remote first and can't find anywhere how I can request to be sent that. Also the option to update my box isn't shown in any of the menus as it's described in the instructions.
Thanks
Simon

Hi. Spoke them via WhatsApp last weekend. They told me there was no option showing to update the v6 box and then quoted me for 2 v6 boxes and a broadband update.

I'd suggest giving our team a call on 0345 454 1111 so they can review your package and assist further with this.
Let us know how you get on so we can offer further support if required.
Thank you

Thanks for this information as I just had to have a new Tivo Box due to Pixelating issues and was going to upgrade to 360 so I spoke to the engineer who replaced my V6 and all he mentioned was contact Virgin for a 360 remote and the V6 will update to a 360. He never mentioned the differences that you have posted.
So I think I'll stick to the V6 box as we have plenty of series links again as we obviously lost all when the V6 box was replaced..
Regards.

The V360 is utter garbage in my opinion. My mum has one and the number of useful functions removed is ridiculous.
To add to the long list posted earlier you can't use the coloured buttons as shortcuts to jump to +1 & HD versions of the channel being watched. You can't even easily jump back to the channel you switched from, as there's no "last channel" function.
IMO the TV Guide is worse and more annoying. On my V6 you can select the guide, select a channel then a longer, easier to read list of programmes appears vertically on the side.
There also appears to be no way to bookmark streaming versions of a series or film. If I want to watch a series or film/Sky Documentaries show at a later date on a V6, I can select "Get This Show", "Bookmark/Series" and the shows will appear in my recordings list as streaming versions without using up space on my box. It also means that I can access episodes that I have missed, even if they are not going to be repeated and I can't record them.
It seems that every time Virgin upgrade a box some functionality is lost. However generally there are new features that compensate for this. IMO this is absolutely not the case with the V360. So many features are lost compared with the V6 that I can't see why many people would change/downgrade.
I have no idea why Virgin would do this, but if they ever force me to change I'll be off.
