TV360 Lost Recordings

Tuning in

My TV360 box has in the last few days lost all the recordings. It tells me I have no recordings and has lost all future planned recordings. Other functions seem OK, pause etc. I have factory reset on the soft ware page and this hasn't changed it. Is this a software update (early August) problem or is it likely hardware.

Just happened to me again this morning, second Tuesday running.  Last week thought i was doing something wrong with new 360 software, this morning got a message saying on box saying "we have done an update".  Everything set up as series link  and recorded on box 1 gone, things from box 2 still there.

Not very good this upgrade.

Hi cc37,

If the 360 has deleted your recordings and planned recordings it's a sign that the box is faulty.

You can either call Virgin on 150 from a Virgin phone, mobile or landline, or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone to report a fault, or wait here for one of the forum team to pick this up which might be 2 to 3 day's.

When phoning choose the option to report a fault, then ignore all the options offered and you should then be placed into a queue to speak to someone.

You could also try a factory reset of the 360, and if you haven't got any recordings you might as well go for the format disk option and if or 'when' the box deletes everything again then phone Virgin.

They might suggest you set the Auto delete option to off, it probably already is and shouldn't affect planned recordings but you can check by doing the following;

Press Home > Recordings > Recorded > View All > Manage Storage > Enter your pin > Auto delete when space needed > Set to Off.

Same thing has happened to me today, but it started with the remote not turning on the box, so I rebooted the box which sorted out the power issue but  now all recordings and planned ones have gone, and it upgraded only about 3wks ago.

Hi cc37,

Thank you for your post. We're very sorry to hear about the recordings being deleted.

We can certainly take a look into this. I will private message you now.
