Hi
I used to have the YouTube kids app on my virgin box. Woke up one morning and it has disappeared. The content on it is better for children than normal YouTube as you can’t control YouTube.
Please help?

Hi Annie0700
Sadly it's out of the hands of VM/Liberty Global. Google have been removing the YouTube Kids app from all devices other than mobile since July.
You can read Googles announcement on /9to5google.com/2024/02/26/youtube-kids-tv-app/
The YouTube kids app was removed from VM's boxes on 27th August. It was removed from Sky's boxes on 6th June.
YouTube Kids is still available as part of the main YouTube app and on mobile devices. .
I feel it's a major oversight by Google/YouTube as it's not possible to password protect the kids profile within the actual YouTube app.
For anybody wanting to remove the kids profile from YouTube that they may have set up on VM they need to do so using a mobile/tablet.
The text below (and screenshot) is from the instructions within the main VM YouTube app.
"Use your phone and go to families.youtube.com, then sign in and choose a profile. To delete, select the three dot menu next to your child's name and choose Delete profile."
