Why is there no Virgin Media Internet Security for my choice of operating system?

Because I don't wish to be continually spied upon, have my personal data used without my permission and am greatly irritated by Corporate lying (aka 'advertising'), I avoid the use of Windows as far as possible. I use Linux for all my computing needs (with the exception of 1 application which runs only in Windows or an Apple OS). but there is no offering of internet/networking security as an add-on service from Virgin Media for my OS of choice.Bearing in mind that Linux is used on far more IT devices (including the HUB 3.0 supplied by VM)  than Windows - by a huge margin - and that the Apple OS is far closer to Linux than to Windows in its design and implementation, it seems bizarre that there is no explicit support for Linux in Virgin Media. When will this error of judgement be corrected?

Commendable. I wish more people would stand up for their rights and stop using invasive software. Some of the software being released today would be considered dangerous virus 20 years ago.

I believe lack of support for Linux is literally because they couldn't support it. With the Windows/Apple software, they can have completely unqualified people running their support lines and get away with it. With Linux software, their support staff would need to be qualified.

I'm not a Very Insightful Person (just a little bit, sometimes). I don't work for Virgin Media (but then nor do any of the offshore customer service agents).

VM are the last people I would ever use for networking security software. Leave to specialist companies who will do a much better job.

There are 10 types of people: those who understand binary and those who don't and F people out of 10 who do not understand hexadecimal c1a2a285948293859940d9a49385a2

My name is NOT Alessandro. That's just a tag Virginmedia sticks on some contributors. Please ignore it.

The problem is the demonstrated inability of some people to distinguish between a 'working', secure system and a 'working' insecure system, for a given  value of 'working'.
