A zero day threat has been discovered on Chromium based browsers (Edge, Chrome etc).  Go to the three dots, Help,  About <browser> then check for updates.

Thanks. Firefox browser problem -showing 2 installations?

I have updated my browsers but noticed something unusual with The firefox browser, it now  has two desktop icons? , one in C:/programme files, the other in C:/users and both brought up firefox.

Also in the app listings firefox is listed twice, but as far as I can see it is only installed once, so I deleted out firefox and this has removed duplicate  versions and desktop shortcuts.

Not sure what happened here unless it was due to a windows 11 update?

It appeared that the firefox browser  had two instances but only one installed programme was listed, very odd.

I am still using chrome and edge, but may consider trying other browsers if there any good recommendations.
