Had a Firmware upgrade pushed out this morning at 00:17  Service was resumed about 6 minutes later according to my Router emails.

Now at LG-RDK_7.6.15-2306.5

No idea what the changes are however as I use modem mode.

not seen any post by Sagemcom, can you post the link? a search links back to this post and others on the board.

VM Staff as linking other post's to this post as well.

Here's a link to the latest firmware change notes, on Ziggo, that claim to fix the EEE issue on the 2.5gb port.

is there an english version anywhere?

I get the impression there are not enough people affected to bother. As hardware within the home is not supported, they are burying their heads in the sand. The fix being a smart managed switch, so if you willing to buy network devices, you might be willing to pay a bit more for the elusive 180mbit to get from 960 to 1140.

Tuning in

Came across this issue this weekend while trying to build a pfSense CE on Proxmox VE with a USB 3.1 2.5G Ethernet dongle on a Dell Optiplex Micro. Was getting ~80% packet loss and couldn't figure out what was causing it. After lots of playing, I ended up trying a 1Gb port, instead of the 2.5Gb port on the Super Hub 5 and it all came to life.

Ran "ethtool --set-eee [DEVICE] eee off" which turned off EEE on the WAN NIC. Popped the WAN cable back into 2.5Gb port, and hey presto, all good.

To make the change permanent, I had to update /etc/network/interfaces with:

"pre-up /usr/sbin/ethtool --set-eee $iface eee off".

Thanks to this forum for giving me the understanding about the EEE 2.5Gb issue on the superhub. I would have had to stick to the 1Gb port otherwise, as I wouldn't have had a clue.

Same here on the old hub 33 could rename the connected device for ease of knowing in english whats connected now no ability to edit the names.

Connection stopped working suddenly yesterday and will no longer work in modem mode connected to a UniFi Cloud Gateway at 2.5Gb. Works in router mode ok, as soon as I put in MM it fails.

I am on LG-RDK_7.6.20-2306.5 - not sure when I received it but guessing yesterday! Don’t have an option to disable EEE on the UniFi Cloud Gateway that I can see - any other suggestions please?

sadly the Energy Efficient Enternet defaulting to "ON" causes the problems with the 2.5gig port.

might want to try looking throught the recent posts, someone cured it with a script. otherwise its a managed switch.
