Hi so my parents last week renegotiated their contract And add a stream box but when the box that they were expecting to have came it was instead a new router so when i phone virgin media yesterday and asked about it they claimed that stream is a subscription which is completely different info to what they were told originally what would be the best thing to do

Yet again you have been given wrong information by customer services. The Stream box is not a subscription box, there is just a small one off fee. Ring back you will get a dragnet who hopefully is more clued up.
