My smart tv keeps disconnecting from the WiFi, problem only started a short time ago. I have to log the tv back in to the wifi nearly every day. I’ve done all the usual things, rebooted modem etc but still having same problem. A few months ago our wifi kept dropping and engineer came out, he suggested that as our virgin cable was running around the outside of the house - and has been there for 20+ years - this cable could now be getting corroded. Could this be causing the problem ?

The technician should have tested the cable to be sure whether it was at fault. He had the tools and knowledge to do so.
Is the TV the only device dropping out of WiFi?

thanks for reply, I’ll get another callogged from them to check cable
it’s mainly the tv although at times through the day i have problems with wifi on phone/ipad
