I keep receiving emails asking me to reconnect as it ends in December. But I don’t want to do that as I’m considering cancelling tv and changing the broadband from Volt Gig1 to standalone Gig1. Do I need to wait till near the end to do it?

My contract runs out in just over 30 days (Tuesday to be exact). I've had monthly emails from about June asking me to re-contract. Trouble is the re-contract would have taken place months ago and replaced the existing contract. I'll be having a discussion at exactly 30 days before (Tuesday) and see what they have to offer and whether the 'price is right'. If no joy on this call I shall have no hesitation in handing in the 30-day notice.
So work out when your contract runs out subtract 30 days and then negotiate sould be my advice. I doubt you will be able to 'downgrade' before then but I stand to be corrected.

You can change the account anytime you wish rather this be an upgrade or a downgrade it doesn't matter.
