Infamous Incorrect Final Virgin Bill

Hi,

I disconnected on 8th December via online chat and was advised I owed approx £16.

I later received a £85 "final bill" notification via email. When I clicked the link in the email to review the bill, after logging into my account, I was unable to see the bill, instead it showed a "something's not quite right" message.

When I clicked "pay now" the same error occurred.

I attempted to telephone Virgin but made no progress having spoken to several members of staff who weren't able to assist.

Today I have noticed in my Experian credit file that Virgin have reported a "missed payment" and thus this has adversely affected my credit rating.

I have emailed creditfileamendments@virginmedia.co.uk and also contact Experian.

Is there anything else I can do?

Thanks in advance, Mike.

Hello mikecartwright.

Thanks for your first post and welcome to our Community.
Sorry it's not on better terms though.

While you have done the correct thing regarding the missed payment on your credit file.

I would still like to take a look at his final bill for you.

If you don't mind, I will need to send you a private message to pass security.
If you can check your logo at the  top right of your screen that would be great.

Thanks Mike. We did reply straight back to your DM.

I'm not sure it was "straight back" as you repeatedly asked the same security questions 3 times, but it wasn't too much of a delay.

The main problem was the unsatisfactory answer that doesn't explain the unexpected, unexplained charges that followed the final bill.

Hey mikecartwright, thank you for reaching out and I am sorry you feel this way.

We do have to ask some security questions which may look like we are repeating ourselves but we are not we do need to ask these.

I can see you are in PM with my colleague about this already, please do reach out if you need anymore assistance on the matter.
