Ok not sure how to move forward. Here’s the details….
- 18 month contract coming to an end a few months ago. Am offered a small increase on this cost at £46 via an online offer. I accept this.
- Few days later I received a contract email with the price at £104. I have a WhatsApp conversation where they say the deal I was originally offered isn’t available (?!), after some back and forth they agree to honouring the deal originally presented at £46, but that the contract will say £104 and a automatic deduction will happen every month and my direct debit will stay at £46.
- Am then charged £136 which comes out of my account. Decide it’s time to cancel. Call up the customer service and end up with retention team. They say they can honour it if I send proof of the WhatsApp conversation via email. I do this, and they confirm while I’m on the call that this has been received. Promise to honour the £46 a month deal. And I will receive credit on my account. Email confirmation will be received in a few days. This never arrives and then…
- Am charged £104.
It’s quite clear now Virgin are not going to honour the deals offered to me via traditional method, hence me posting publicly here, and on social media.
I need this fixed, and £148 credit back to me. And a written contract with the correct details. Next stop ASA, OFCOM, ombudsmen etc
