Hi all!
My contract runs out on 7th August and is due to go up. I called for a deal and as expected they had nothing.
Before I cancel and hope for a call with a good deal....
Can I simply cancel and then my partner sign up at the same address for a new customer deal? I've seen a few posts saying to do this but surely it's not that simple?
What's my best way to get a good deal? Every other supplier seems to be offering 67mbps max.
Thanks!!

It's highly likely that VM will want all your existing equipment returned, and new equipment to be supplied for what is effectively a new install.
This would mainly present issues with the TV service, where any recorded programmes would disappear with your cancellation. If you have a TiVo or V6 box, it will be replaced with a TV360.

Hi nibilki5
You also need to consider that if you currrently have a VM landline then you will lose your VM phone number when cancelling.
Also any VM, ntl, blueyonder email addresses will be deleted 90 days after leaving. They can't be transferred over to a new account.
And if there are capacity problems in your area then VM may not be taking on any new connections, or they may be unable to supply speeds above M350.

You have to give 30 days' cancellation notice. After your contract is ended your daughter can have her contract at that address. I think it will be likely that there will be a break in service, so you'd need to be prepared for loss of broadband for a while.
