I was told i would receive a promotional offer for the duration of my contract when i was upsild to a bigger package. I upgraded and 3 months later my bill has doubled. The virgin media staff confirmed their colleague lied to me but thats why they send emails. I said i agreed to the package over the phone after being lie to. She said sorry but i must pay £850 to cancel or must stay on this inflated package for the next 18 months!! Absolute con artists!! But because their staff are all based in the Phillippines they simply do not care

Make sure you have a copy of what VM offered you, and start an official complaint. You may have to go to the Ombudsman.
