That does make sense because the "Forbidden" error comes up when there is an issue authenticating your email account. I don't remember ever seeing ii reported in connection with a My Virgin Media (MVM) account.
It did seem to occur a lot after VM introduced their "mail app password" which you have to use in the account settings of email apps and clients such as Outlook and the Mail app instead of the password you use to sign into your My Virgin Media and MVM account. The mail app password is always n the format "word-word-word-word"
You have not mentioned whether you also use an email app to manage your emails but it might be worthwhile resetting your password again and generating a new Mail .app password.
If that doies not work, then the Forum Team (VM staff who support this forum) are best placed to help you. One of them will be contacting you via this forum, Hopefully that will be today.

Thank you again for your response.
I have always picked up my e mails (and also send e mails) on my Mac and i pad and i phone in my Mail app accounts on those devices and don't have a problem on that part - its just mail on Virginmedia.
Quite a while back when i tried to log into mail on Virginmedia, a message popped up to say I had to change my log in password and also to use a different Mail app password "word-word-word-word" which was generated and which is used for my mail accounts on my Mac, i phone and i pad and everything is still fine there and at that time I was able to log into my mail on Virginmedia.
However I haven't logged into mail on Virginmedia for quite a while,
Do you think it could be that I havent tried to log in to "mail" on Virginmedia for quite some time that is causing the problem.

" my post is now showing "accepted solution""
Don't worry, the Forum Moderators have removed the "Helpful answer" tag from your post.

I don't know but I would be surprised if that was the cause of the Forbidden error. I have VM webmail accounts that I rarely access and I don't think I have ever had the "Forbidden" error. If you have reset the password a couple of times I think you have done all you can to resole the problem.
Fortunately, as you usually use the Mail app to manage your emails it's not a show stopper that you cannot access your VM webmail account but obviously you do need to regain access to it sooner rather than later.
As I said earlier, the Forum Team are best placed to help you and they will contact you via this forum thread.

Thank you so much for your responses and help.
I agree it's no big deal that I cannot access my mail by logging into Virginmedia, but just thought it is something I should be doing once in a while, and the fact that I am unable to do that shows there is a problem somewhere.
I will await contact from the Forum Team.
