Incorrect email on account

I have recently bought a new laptop and it's been a nightmare trying to set up my email. I then spent ages trying to login to my account online and it appears that somehow my work email (not a Virgin address) has been substituted. It's possible that I entered it in error at some point but now I can't change it back to my personal one. 

  • Also, there appears to be some other unknown and unused email addresses linked to my account. Can I get them removed?

Been trying all day to sort this our. Looks like my work email was set as a recovery email. I've changed it to another one. I still can't get into my Virgin.com email though. My password isn't being accepted and something about IMAP settings. I've tried both in Thunderbird and in MyVirginMedia. Please can someone advise!

Log into your MyVirginmedia broadband account and go to email settings. You can change the primary account password there, and delete unwanted secondary accounts. 

To edit any wanted secondary account you now have to create a separate MyVirginmedia account for it.

I can now get into my primary account but not the other one. If I go to primary account in email settings in my virgin media all it does is give me the option to generate a new password, the secondary account isn't listed.

If the secondary account isn't listed it's in danger of being closed. You need a VM person to pick this up and investigate what's happening to your accounts.
