I left Virgin sometime around May 2022. I'd been with them since they bought out NTL in the early 2000s
I still had the NTL email address. I can no longer sign into the virgin account to contact support.
However, my old email address is still fully functional via a third party. I can still receive and send emails via Thunderbird. Some time ago, it seems, a number of databases were hacked, and my old email address was scooped up and is now being spammed, spoofed, and generally the recipient of various scam attempts and identity thefts attempts. How can I have the email account deleted to stop the account being used and abused? I can't directly contact Virgin support because, as I said, I no longer have an account.
