I closed my Virgin account four years ago yet the email address is still operating, as is my wife’s email. She has been hacked and received a ransom demand.
I've tried the helpline and no one will help as I do not have an active account.
How can I get the accounts deleted?

We're sorry to hear you're having an issue with a hacked email account. As the account is closed, these should have been deleted 90 days later. We can only apologise that these were missed.
This is something we can certainly raise with IT to get done for you but in order to do that I will need to confirm some information with you to pass security.
I have sent you a direct message to allow us to do this with you in a private space. If you are using a PC/Laptop then you can just click on the little ✉ at the top right-hand side of the page to access your inbox. If you are on a mobile/tablet device then instead click on the little circle icon in the top right then select 'Messages'. 😊
