Unable to view email on iPad and iphone

I am unable to access my @ntlworld.com emails on iPad and iPhone. This has been working for years, I have an app password. Tried deleting the account on iPad, but cannot re-enable as it says Ntlworld is currently unavailable. Not happy as I have had this email address for years. Spent about 2 hours on the phone trying to get this fixed, but no longer. Seriously considering leaving Virgin Media
