Unable to access emails on laptop

Hi

I am experiencing the same problem of others I can access emails on phone and kindle. However on laptop I am getting the forbidden page when I try to access emails via the virgin media Web page and when I try to access emails via outlook it asks for images or pop password looked at past threads and think I need new app password However please could someone confirm best way to resolve. The online support has not been helpful as they say it is a laptop issue I have reset the email password and that didn't help

    First question to ask/confirm is, are you currently a paying customer for VM broadband?

    If you are, the process for generating an app password is shown on the page below along with the required server settings for email clients.

    When you set up the app password, you may also be prompted to provide VM with a third party email address.

    Once you have done this, you use the third party email address and your VM password when logging into webmail.

    You use your VM email address and the app password when setting up an email client, such as Outlook, on a device.

  • Thanks yes I am a paying VM account holder. I have an ntl email address. I do have a 3rd party email address so will try and do what you have suggested. Many thanks

We currently have an issue with our online account system at the moment, this could be the reason for the issues that you're experiencing. Are you still having issues right now?
