Hacked email help!

So a week ago today my email was hacked. All sorts of accounts being set up and actusl emails from the hackers telling my the pssswird I use. I have been frantically trying to change my important emails over to a gmail address. The email that was hacked is one I’ve had forever and it’s a blueyonder.co.uk which is an additional account according to my virgin media.

so I phoned for technical help, today I was told to create another email, I created a proton one. An email was sent to me but I was told it didn’t work, I then said I could try my iCloud one, it didn’t work either and was returned to sender. So the tech person said they could not help unless I made up another email address somewhere like gmail of which I’m not prepared to do as I’ve had so much bother this week already I don’t want an additional email. I was told nothing can be done then and the person hung up on me! They called back 5 mins later to say a ticket has been raised and I’d probably get a call tomorrow, I said I need it fixed today as I’m working tomorrow and I’m anxious about what’s happening. I said can you just delete the email account and was told no I need to sort this password to get back into my blueyonder email??? It’s a mess, I’m stressed, I’m not making an additional email so can somebody help me please to either get into this account to gather important information from my emails or to just delete it all?

  • Also to add I was now not getting into this email account at all with Cannot get mail message and AUTHENTICATIONFAILEF on the server and imap.virgin media.com was not responding.

    Just to confirm sorry, have the team made an IT ticket?

    If so there is a 5 working day turn around on, we cannot speed this up sorry, once an IT ticket has been made it goes to IT and they look into this.

    Are you looking for it to be deleted?

      I was told some sort of ticket was made? I didn’t understand any of it. However I’m at the end of my tether with it and if it’s just going to be impossible to fix I feel I’ve no choice but to delete the email account. I am not technically minded so I don’t want to set up an additional email to fix the one I’ve got?

  • Is anyone available today to try to help me with this? Literally getting nowhere whilst this account is still open? If I go to manage additional accounts and delete the email will this close that account?
