email login screen changes

Having read the stories about the issues with logging onto your VM emails, I have exactly the same issue this morning. It says to link a second email address to verify the account. The only one that i have is a works email so i used that. After 4 attempts to verify, it keeps coming up with a big red exclamation mark and says it has expired. So damned frustrating trying to find a bot or something to "communicate" with. Anybody else having the same issues please?

  • Hey garykc, thank you for reaching out and we are sorry to hear about this email problem. 

    Please do try and make a new online account like you did when you first joined us, this should fix the issue.

    After issues after this do let us know.

      Sorry to butt in but if we create a new account, will we have access to emails already in our account before we linked Virginmedia and 02 accounts, and those which should have been received since. I can log in and send emails but haven't received any for 3 days, including those I've sent myself from ntlworld.com or other email addresses.

        Thanks for asking the question about receiving emails. Can we ask if this it directly through your online account, or through an email client like outlook?

  • We are not alone. I have today been advised that this is due to a major change to the systems required to complete the VirginMedia/02 merger. Since the change on 15th July, there have been
    thousands of complaints, all suffering lack of access to our virginmedia.com emails.

    Apparently all the accounts are still there, but we cannot access them.
