Email access with Outlook, iPhone or Android

Hi, 

I've got ntlworld email addresses for myself, my wife, kids and the master account email, and have a VirginMedia account. I can't access these using anything other than webmail (which I'm not a fan of) since yesterday for my wifes email and around 6pm today for the others.

Logging into webmail forces me to set up passkeys instead of passwords, which I understand is more secure, but since doing so neither outlook, my wife's iPhone or my Pixel will access email. I've tried using the app passkeys but still can't log in!

Can someone explain how I can get email working again using the apps on our phones or outlook?

    Having set passkeys for the accounts you will now have to generate email app passwords for each one.

    To create an email app password or update an existing one you need to follow these steps:

    Sign into the My Virgin media account for the email concerned with your VMO2ID
    Select Account Settings
    Select Identity & Security Settings
    Select Manage your products
    Select Manage email app password
    Click on the blue button 'Get New Password'

    Make a note of the generated password.  This is what you use in the mail apps along with the vm email address as the username.

    That's worked, (at least on my phone and in Outlook (need to sort teh otehr divices out next). Bit of a faff though.
