E MAIL HACK
A number of issues have arisen from a recent email hack. Although with help of the call centre (more on that later) in resetting the password etc. I am still left with some issues
First there are two sets of address books in the mail system one the collected addresses the other contacts. On restoring my emails the contacts lists had disappeared, though some details remained in the collected addresses. The call centre claims that contacts list cannot be recovered as this would have been stolen by the hackers? Is this correct.
Next and only just noticed today a number of my email folders such as one containg family history emails is now completely empty as are a couple of other folders - have these also been stolen and are they recoverable.? Also any archived items from 2022 to 2024 are completely missing.
Is this information now completely lost.
In regard to the call centre although they were helpful it was extremely difficult to work with offshore staff whose accents can be very strong and without being unkind is there no way we can talk to a UK based call centre to avoid some obvious language barriers.
