Access to an old Virgin Media blue yonder email account

I have an old blueyonder email account that it would be useful to recover some important emails from. Can someone contact me to help with this? The address is still active as I still receive emails from another alias that forwards to my gmail account

Can you log into the account via webmail? If not is there any error message?
Is the account connected to an active broadband account? If not then the address may have been deleted.

    Hi John-Wiggins,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the forums 🙂

I am sorry you are having email issues.

Can you please confirm if you have active virgin media services?

        Hi john-wiggins,

Thanks for coming back to us on this one.

As you're an existing customer, you should be able to access the email address directly. You will need to log in to My VM here. Once logged in, go to the Manage My Profile section and you can reset the password to the email account.

If the email address isn't there then it's likely connected to a different account you may have held in the past. If this is the case then we'll need to look in to things further to check.

Let me know how the above goes first and we'll take it from there.

        Thanks,

  • I have this same problem - an old Blueyonder e-mail that I can't access but need to close. (It's been hacked and is sending out spam). Can someone please contact me to get this shut down ASAP? (Not a current VM customer).

    Thanks

        Hi Paulina

nothing has been done with my account so far. I have just had a series of people claiming they will deal with it but none saying they have actually done anything. I have enquired if closing my virgin media account completely will do it by couldn’t get a straight answer on that either. This is getting worrying now.

  • I have a similar problem.

I have a long running unbroken account with Virgin and have changed my email address to my main account in my contact information.

I need to get access to my blueyonder account which I use for alternate email verification purposes.

Please advise how I can open this mailbox from my Virgin account which is live and verified.

    Regards

    IanRH1

      Hey IanRH1,

Welcome to the Community Forums and thanks for the post.

When logging into the webmail all you would need to do instead, is when entering into your My Virgin Media account, you have the option to access your emails once logged in, from this page you should be able to switch between your accounts that you have with us, this should then allow you to log into the email you wish to log in with.

      Cheers. Joe

  • Hi

I'm having a similar problem and need to reset my password on an working blueyonder.co.uk account.  My wife's email is assigned to the virgin account but not mine can someone help?

  • Afternoon

I am unable to access my blueyonder account on the email portal as it was set up when i was 12 and i am unable to change the passwords on some old accounts that i wish to change over to my new one.  It is still active as i can receive emails from it but not all of them. Would it be possible for the password to be reset? I am not a with Virgin media presently.

I have been trying to attention on this matter for months now. There was a minor flurry of assistance at first which very soon ended with no effect. I have a hacked account that is being abused and no way to shut it down. Good luck.

        Hi pajp16,

Thank you for reaching out to us and welcome, sorry to hear your Blue Yonder Email was hacked, are you still a Virgin Media customer?

        Regards

        Paul.

  • Hi, I have the same problem. I can access my old blueyonder and virginmedia accounts on my phone but I can't log in via webmail or the virginmedia portal to access them or to change the automated message that I set up on them a while ago. I am no longer an active virginmedia customer - I need to update my settings.

      Hi heleninbristol,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums.

We're sorry to hear you're having an issue accessing your account currently. We do have an open fault affecting emails so this may be preventing you from accessing things. It may also be that the email account has been locked due to you no longer having an active Virgin Media broadband account.

We'll need to wait until the fault has been resolved and hopefully you will then be able to access your account. If you are able to access it, we stress that you should use the access to save anything you need to and work towards moving your email service to your new provider or to an Email provider. This is because we are only able to offer an email service to active VM broadband customers. Once the account has been disconnected for 90 days, the email address is usually deleted.

      Thanks,

  • Hi, I'm after access to my old @blueyonder email account, windows mail has just changed to outlook and never noticed that it didn't swap over password for this account. Thanks

      Hi vmnet,

Thank you for your post and welcome back to our community forums. We're here to help.

I'm sorry to hear you're having some trouble with an email address/account recently. Is the email address/account in question linked to an account with an active broadband service? If so, are you able to access the email address/account via the webmail platform on our website?

      Thanks,

Hi, its from my previous virgin account, I cant remember the password for the email.

        Thanks

  • Looking for some help with the similar issue.

I am still a VM customer and need some old email addresses which are all still active attached to my new VM account.

I have my old and new account numbers so that's easy to help confirm who I am etc.

Anyone from VM able to assist, like others I've tried 150, but no luck.

old account has been closed for 18 months plus, but the email addresses which I asked to be ported to the new account haven't been.

    tha ks in advance.

      Hi Snakebite136,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums.

We're sorry to hear you're having an issue with getting your email addresses connected to your active broadband account. This is something we can certainly check for you but in order to do that I'll need to confirm some information with you to pass security.

I've sent you a direct message to allow us to do this with you in a private space. If you're using a PC/Laptop then you can just click on the little ✉ at the top right-hand side of the page to access your inbox. If you're on a mobile/tablet device then instead, click on the little circle icon in the top right then select 'Messages'. 😊

      Thanks,
