Virgin Retentions - Is 020 3743 6972 Legit?

Hello,

I have recently given my 30 day notice period to Virgin Media as I approach the end of my contract period. Initially I was contacted by a UK based call centre with a retentions offer, unfortunately at the time I was about 5 minutes from boarding a plane and unable to discuss further but agreed for a follow-up call WC 10/02.

Since then, I have had numerous calls from the above number which is flagged as suspected spam on my phone. Whenever I answer, I speak briefly with what I assume to be an overseas call centre before the call is terminated prematurely. 

Really unsure as to whether the above number is a fraudulent call, Virgin are trying to retain me as a customer or troll me at this point?

    No one can confirm the number for you for sure due to the possibility of caller ID spoofing.

    the overall opinion seems to be for a scam attempt which seems to match with the warning on your phone.
