Wifi booster pod getting hot and burning wall

Hi, I received a wifi booster pod a few months ago and unplugged it yesterday to put some shelves up. After unplugging it I noticed that the plug socket and wall were blackened by the pod and it was extremely hot, although not making any buzzing noise and otherwise working correctly. Is it possible to get a replacement pod as it does not seem safe.

Many thanks,

James
