Wi-Fi or Mobile Network

You're going to have to forgive an old man's forgetfulness and lack of knowledge of how these things work but if Virgin Media has a problem with it's server and my home wi-fi goes down (as it did yesterday evening) is there any way I can still make calls on my mobile?

Do I have to use the Virgin Media Mobile Network that is showing on my Realme 7 mobile phone (and the base of my router), if so how do I access it or do Virgin revert to it immediately. As the Virgin Media server was down yesterday I obviously wasn't able to access my home wi-fi so didn't understand how I make any calls or access the Internet.

I think (but can't be sure) that I changed my Password for this years ago and now can't remember it. If I click on the Virgin Media Network I'm asked to enter this Password but obviously can't because I've forgotten it.

My apologies for being so ignorant about these matters but I'd be grateful for any help and guidance anyone is able to give.

Thank you.

I am assuming this is  question about using Wi-Fi calling on a mobile at home and what happens during a VM broadband fault, or when the VM Hub is turned off.

The mobile will revert to the cell tower the moment the VM broadband goes down
and that is how it will make calls.
