I agree , just unplugged mine after checking from reading this , and it is also very hot especially the pins ,... .Virgin you need to look into this it's NOT an isolated incident, others have reported it going back into 2023.!!
Yet another one of these things burning. How many are in use with people who are not aware of the problem because there has been no publicity - hundreds, thousands?
If these devices are all allowed to stay in use it's almost inevitable that one will start a serious fire. Well Virginmedia won't be able to claim they didn't know about it. They've been told enough times.
If I had know other people had problems with their ones i would of phoned virgin.I only noticed by calling this forum page up and your right virgin media know about it ...When I came out of work and checked my phone I had messages on here privately and missed phone calls from virgin and a engineer came to my home to collect the faulty wifi plugs but I was at work.😡
Please take some photos of the booster whilst you still have it and post them on this thread - ideally showing the card with the make and model on as well as any smoke damage etc.
