POE and Virgin Media hub5 1gig

Hiya, I was wondering if the virgin hub 5 supports POE, since it has one port labeled as "2.5gig" in red and I am getting a yealink soon.

Many thanks,

Charlie

There is no POE on any VM Hubs.

For one Yealink device buy the makers PSU.
For many consider a PoE switch.

Keep well clear of the Hub 5's 2.5Gb/s port unless your have a device that can operate at 2.5Gb/s and can disable EEE / Energy Efficient Ethernet ... loud hint, do not buy a low cost 2.5Gb/s unmanaged switch.

Most consumer devices don’t require PoE, so integrating PoE into a hub or router is an unwarranted expense.

Injectors?  I've gone down the POE Switch route for my stuff.  Neater than having several injectors plugged in.

PoE switches are definitely the way to go. I power WAPs, cameras, Raspberry Pis and WaveShare Ethernet switches all from my network switches.
