I'm having this exact same issue, there's been a red light on my Hub 3 for a few months now and internet has generally been working but I have noticed that certain connected devices like my Ring camera have disconnected more often - I've tried turning off, re-inserting all the cables, resetting the hub (which I did today and my internet now isn't working at all). The hub is in an open area and does not feel hot at all.
