How do I get WiFi Pods?

To whom this may concern.

I recently signed up to the Gig1 Broadband (as of last week) and was promised free 2 x WiFi pods that I was eligible for but they didn’t arrive with package. I've been trying to order the WiFi ever since through VM connect app but I’m not receiving any prompts or info on how to progress this, which is incredibly frustrating.

Please can I have some assistance with ordering these ASAP.

Thanks.

  • Hi lukejhurst 👋.

Thanks for reaching out to us and welcome to the Community Forums, sorry to hear that you have not got your Wi-Fi Max pods. You have been mis-informed on how the process works, at no point will a customer receive them as part of an order as there is a diagnostic process that we must follow before we can issue them out. We would not be able to determine the number that we can send due to diagnostic testing but also it is impossible to send out more than one at a time. 👉 Wi-Fi Max.

We can certainly assist you with any issues that you are facing as well as run diagnostics in order to assess if you are indeed in need of them. So that we can do this we would need to bring you in for a private message. Please look out for the envelope on the top right of your web browser or if you are using a mobile device, it will be located under your profile icon.

    Thanks.

See if anything in here helps….

You call 0800 064 3850 to order the first one after scanning for blackspots using the connect App.- or just wait here for a VM person to respond in a day or two and they will sort the first one for you.  If you do call dont get fobbed off by the offshore CS agents' saying you aren’t eligible - if you are - it is clearly stated on the webpage.

You can also text VM on 0753 305 1809 include account name/number and what the issue is,  there is also a “Chat” option on their website - but note that replies usually take longer.  Or you can speak to the team on WhatsApp by logging into your online account via a mobile handset and there will be a link to speak to VM by Whats App (the number is 0780 3089 684   ) - you can use the same number for their other social media platforms too (TwitX/Fbook. etc) - so try them all
