2.4ghz & 5ghz intelligent pods

Hi I have a Hub 5 and am looking to split my signals to 2.4ghz & 5ghz.

My question is that I am using intelligent pods and if I split my connections to 2.4 & 5ghz will the intelligent pods still work as intended?

Thanks

jay

      Hi Jbrennan

thanks, so I am to assume if I split the signal the pods will be useless unless I keep it as combined SSID as you mention

Hi mistryjayesh, thank you for your posts.

There are a few requirements for WiFi Pods to work with our Hubs:

        •    The Hub must be in "Router mode" and not have been changed to "Modem mode"

        •    Channel optimisation must be left on

        •    The SSIDs must be the same and broadcast enabled

        •    The SSID must be password protected

        •    The passphrases of the SSIDs must match

As long as all of the above points are all met, then the Pods should automatically connect to your Hub's Wi-Fi and begin broadcasting.

If you have any further queries, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for your support jbrennand and legacy1 👍

        Regards,
        Daniel

Just get a better router with 1Gb ports and use hub in modem mode

  • I've used them but now have them turned off on my account.

They do provide a wider range of coverage around the house - but not really sure where 'intelligent' comes from.

Your VM hub as to have all the wifi defaults set and you can not split bands - you can't do any customisation of your wifi.
