Pixelation on Sky channels

We are also having this problem. It usually happens on Sky channels e.g. Doc on Sky Witness and Portrait Artist of the Year on Sky Arts. The 2am recordings are unwatchable.

We are going to turn off the series link and manually select the evening broadcast to record. The problem with this is remembering to set the recording. Very frustrating to say the least.

Your post has been moved to a new thread, rather than adding to someone else's.

Pixellated pictures are usually the sign of a signal fault, so you'll be far better off leaving the series link in-place but manually overriding the choice of showing in the short term - TiVo allows this.

Perhaps keep one sample recording to show a service tech when they attend. Assuming that you don't consider this problem desperately urgent, a VM staffer should be along on this forum in a couple of days and can treat this post as a fault report.

By means of some self-checks, try setting some overnight recordings from the following channels to see if they're also affected - Sky History HD, E4-HD, Crime & Investigation HD. Also Sky Sports Mix HD, BBC3-HD, BBC4-HD. These channels share a broadcast frequency with Sky Witness HD & Sky Arts HD, so should be equally affected by a signal fault.
