Getting a message that the security certificate error message on apps tried amazon prime, itvx bbc, chanel 4
. On demand works ok

Exactly the same for me, channel4, ITV, BBC, Amazon Prime, Youtube. Trying to use the app just get a security warning message. I have a v6 box.

Same here too, will update to let ppl here know if it fixes itself at any point. No apps working at all, On Demand working fine.

Hi, this message appeared last night when trying to watch YouTube on our TV:
Security Error
This server could not prove that it is content.dtv.virginmedia.com;its security certificate is not trusted by your computers operating system. This may be caused by a configuration or an attacker intercepting your connection.
you should not proceed especially if you have never seen this warning before for this siteIt then gives two options - Back to safety or proceed anyway but neither works.
I’ve changed my Virginmedia password and rebooted the V6 box but hasn’t made any difference.can you tell me what’s wrong and what I need to do to fix it?

Just noticed that all apps apart from Netflix are showing the same error message. Any ideas?

Getting same message when trying to access apps catch up on demand etc. Had issues last night and this morning. TV wouldn't even start up. Works now but not as stated. Do you just need to wait for a fix?

Had a replacement v6 box installed today the box has a permanent orange light on the front and no access to the apps because of the known security message. Virgin tech helpline no use as usual

This may be related to the current issue showing under https://www.virginmedia.com/help/service-status
The apps are working on my 360 box, although the service status suggests "we hope to fix this by 4pm 2nd March" it may still be borked in some areas/regions, so it would be helpful if forum users gave an indication of where they live which would be helpful for forum staff eg Leeds West Yorkshire, or Birmingham, Liverpool etc

Same here, V6 box, in Cardiff. Website says there are engineers working to fix the problem. Fingers crossed.

My TV apps have not been working for last 5 days .
Rang virgin yesterday and was told the issue should be resolved by 4:00 pm today .
This evening still same issue .
TV & Internet have been rebooted, tested already.
wifi is playing up this evening!!

I have had the same problem for a few weeks. Service updates keep changing date. Told it was fixed twice and then closed. Still not working. Sick of wasting time on this.

What is the issue you're having with the apps on your V6 box? You've not said.
Do you have any issues with C5 or Sky OnDemand? They use the same internet connection but don't use apps.

I’m in SW11 , London. I can’t access any apps (BBC iplayer, ITVx Channel 4 , Channel 5, Netflix ) or any Catch Up . Getting same security error message on all. Looks like the authentication failed at their server

And Virgin are sending out a technician this Thursday! Useless helpline, they obviously don’t monitor this forum or they might have recognised a recurring incident, ie a PROBLEM at the server not in all the TIVO boxes.
