Bedroom v6 box can't find other v6 box

Hi

I've been having ongoing issues with my V6 boxes. 

An engineer came out last week and fitted a signal amplifier and I moved the router and got a far better signal strength on the V6 box that is located in the bedroom. 

The V6 box in the bedroom works absolutely fine with catch up and all things like that but if I try to watch something on the V6 box in the bedroom that has been recorded on the V6 box downstairs I intermittently get an error pop up that States the V6 box downstairs can't be Found.

The main V6 box that's located downstairs is able to see the bedroom V6 box but not vice versa.

Also is it possible to get the brown external cover that covers the wires coming into the property replace as it won't clip into place.

(I tried calling Virgin media but had no luck with the new voice automated system it couldn't understand the word I was saying and kept repeating itself until I had to hang up)

    Sorry to hear about these issues with your V6 box, and that you need a new external covering for your cabling. 

    In terms of the V6 box - can you please check in the settings to ensure you don't have the downstairs / main box set up with 'Eco power mode' as this can effect it's functionality - and may cause this issue!

    The signal strength that the VM tech has checked, will almost certainly have been the incoming co-ax that carries the live broadcast TV feed.

    The connection you're struggling with is the in-home connectivity between the V6 & your router, which provides the internet & multiroom streaming link. For the box that's affected, is this wireless or recommend Ethernet hard-cabled?

    For any wireless connected box, follow Home > Help & Settings > Settings > Network, and confirm the wireless signal strength in the top-right corner.
